Scuderia Ferrari SF70H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Report that Ferrari have been banned from some trick with the blown axle when the car is in yaw. Can someone translate?

Seems like there was some kind of a valve in the front axle that opened up on the straights and closed again in corners resulting in higher top speed.
Reminds me of the f duct

This article also mentions having found oil residue in the gasoline. Is that really the case? This is the first I've seen that is that specific.

Doesn't matter if they banned anything when it comes to chassis. It looks like Ferrari has the best chassis out there, owning heavy aero tracks like Monaco and Hungary. Let's wait to see race pace though. Expecting this kind of a domination in Singapore as well. However, they must bring a great PU update in Monza.

Monaco is not a aero heavy track.
It is a high downforce track. But ugly, dirty downforce that works at Monaco would never work for real aero tracks like Hungary, malaysia and suzuka where it is all about clean, high efficiency downforce and balance.

The article also says that Mercedes has a couple of oil tanks. Is it true?
