Flow wiz on the T-wing it would be nice to see a side picture to see the airflow and understand a bit better how it works. Thanks for the pic

Can't be sure but if you look closely in that picture, you can see Red flow viz on the rear wing, so I would say the T-wing is Guiding air onto there. Be nice to see someone give us a more in depth analysis though

I thought the idea of the T-wing was to create an upwash I front and above the rear wing in order to aid the upwash of the rear wing

That and it's pretty low drag for the downforce it produces itself.

Those are just splatters flying off and hitting the rear wing. Twings are not about guiding airflow. They just create blunt downforce. They actually take away a bit of downforce from the rearwing because of the upwash they generate.

I'm not convinced the vortex explanation is correct. Most teams have by now have chosen for closed multi element twings. Except for TR I think. I think this is to reduce the number of strong vortices and still have the benefit of downforce. His explanation also doesn't take into account what the vortex would cause under yaw where downforce is needed most.
