Renault R30

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

They're still drawing inspiration from the box-fish it seems... And what's with the stripes- are they hoping of getting some of the Marlboro money?

rear part of sidepods looks like their '09 launch package.. and in much the same style as what McLaren finished '09 with. very tall at the back compared to what the other teams have shown this pre-season thusfar.

Renault are hiding brawn influenced front suspension with a low steering rack.
The R30 on display here has the R29 nose cone, which will be changed when it is run. That's from Scarbs' twitter.

edit: another note from Scarbs: Neat details are on the front brake ducts, mirrors and rear wishbone mounts.
edit: removal of images as they're already up. Fellow forumers beat me to it =D>

Middle two pics are the old car, let clean those out of here.

This looks to have the shortest wheelbase of all the current 2010 cars, could work to their advantage at twisty tracks.

that doesnt matter at all if the rest of the car is crap, wich it seems, again.
Really, they have huge sidepods, there is no part on the car wich i can call good.

too right, what a joke and a mess.

If i had just seen the pic of that car i would have said it was last years car. Can anyone actually point out 5 big changes apart from the wheel base longer due to fuel

The front wing on that was more advanced than on this "2010" car. Surely this can't be the new car?

It seems we have to wait until tomorrow for the R30.
