Team Lotus T128 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter does not belong here.

Ahh yes, forgot about that whole fiasco. Didn't that end up getting dropped or did Lotus get fined?

I'm loving the "Once broken considered sold" sign – I'd be so so tempted to deliberately break a bit :P

They would want to hold on to that stuff - or are we talking about different things

Doubt that car would be anywhere near the millions today, most likely missing engine and g/b and everything worthwhile, and weren't 2006 Super Aguri's without engines selling for 150,000 a while back... and there is that member who bought the 2007 Honda for a great deal...I'd break a bit to get it in my house :D

A lot would depend on how new it is as well. A newer car could give useful data but this one would not.

Are you talking about actually getting aero data out of that old show car?

Well there's not photo here so i don't know what kind of quality it is but from the sounds of it its old anyway, so no. That FI wind tunnel model could have been good though.

Actually, quoted from p39 :P

Your right, wouldn't get any data from that thing and it too old to be of much use even then. Would the FI wind tunnel model have been of any use to them.

The wind tunnel model scandal was at the end of 2009. There was never any question of whether or not the aero data from there would be relevant; but instead what car it was
