I think the "Race cars" section of the forum killed of his threads, where people are throwing everything AND asymmetrical kitchen sinks at picking apart the car upgrades. Well, maybe it's for the better since there is more participation.

I still use those threads from time to time though. Good archive for the old cars.

Bar555, I think you can do like an end of season thing, where everything is all summarised. Just post like links at the first page and the "end" of the car threads.

I wonder whether we will see the new wing that was run in the Canadian GP practice being raced in Valencia? Here's some analysis from the excellent Scarbs:

I think that the central bump in new fw33 front wing is there to capture the vortex that sheds from the transition between the central mandatory section and the external flapped part of the wing

Hey guys I got some great shots of the fw33 on sunday when it was getting towed back to the pits on my way from stand 11 to the trophy ceremony.
I got pushed around by the track marshals, they got pretty angry at me... but totaly worth it:

YES!! No more I-4 Turbo's!!! for now at least...

This is the problem with F1 today, people that see a loop hole (or a "loose" rule) and decide to close it instead of letting the flaw in the rules be fully exploited.
This experimenting/ingenuity/looking for an advantage is what f1 is about, its all about who can get closest to breaking the rules and pushing design and engineering to the limit. Thinking outside the box!!

Great photos...

In the top two photos, what is the object located above the tea tray and small floor duct openings? 6-8" round and maybe 2" thick mounted to a pillar.

What allows you access to the pit lane?

After the race, the marshals open up access to the track, I sit at the senna corners (turns 1 and 2) so its a straight sprint to the trophy celebration and the front straight.
They dont, however, actually allow you in the pit lane, thats only for pit pass holders.
