That's interesting because I think that's the last of his 'free engines'. Next one should get him grid penalties and a season from bad to worse!
Indeed, he is on his 5th one.

Well he is going to use an old one for Saturday and Sunday but I guess he'll use a 6th one for Monza so that will be 10 places down the grid.

No wonder Lotus has financial debt.

Interesting FP2, my observations on average long run times (and very subjective on what I've counted as outliers and may be some user error in collecting lap times)
- mercs average in 1'54.9 (looks like Hamilton around 1/10 sec faster than Ros), both on softs
- alo around 155.7, on softs (which seems to be contrary to commentating which said ferrari looked quick)
- massa around 155.4, on softs, started v fast but seemed to fade quickly
- button around 156.3 - think this was on softs
- bottas around 156.2 on medium
- ric on 155.1 on softs
- hulk on 157.1 on mediums and seriously long run

Overall Ric seems to have done really well and Bottas not bad at all for a medium run...

You sure about that?

There's simply no way Ric would be able to out accelerate merc engines unless some sort of lifting is going on imo.

Yes Maldonado was flat through it with fuel and medium tires. FP3 and Quali is simply going to make it even easier.

Hulkenberg was almost flat, slight hesitation on his run, bodes well for FP3 and Quali.
Some other guys that we saw from the outside also seemed to run flat through it but we can´t tell for sure as it was not onboard and no infographic.

Guys,

I'm sorry in advance (probably the wrong thread) but can somebody please help we with the following.

F1 race starts @ 14h local time

Does anyone know if there are support races on 24/08/2014 + what time (local time) are they driving?

I read something about gp2/gp3 and porsche supercup?

Many thanks in advance, regards

Did you see the rear wing on Ric?

That is easily explainable.
