very nice video. *thumbs up*
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

2014 - Pole Lap

Singapore modifies Formula 1 track layout for 2015 grand prix - So comparing times from last season might not help.

GP under threat due to Air Pollution?

The University games and tooball have already been cancelled due to visibility and health reasons.

Only if Hamilton has an issue. I don't think the Ferrari has sufficient pace to take the race on pure merit. If he can get ahead off the line then he might be able to do something but if Hamilton leads at the end of the first lap it'll need misfortune to play a card in Vettel's favour.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Mercedes have strong mechanical grip and a good max-df package... we saw it all in Monaco. However yes this is a grueling race, anything can happen, etc etc. Will Red Bull actually go well here?

Will be interesting to see if Merc turns the new PU up even more compared to Monza.

It'll be much closer between Ferrari and Mercedes, probably 2-3 tenths. If any of them makes the slightest mistake, Ferrari will be there to pick up the pieces. If they can snatch pole somehow, they have an excellent chance.

From an abc news article:
"In the event that the haze caused visibility, public health or operational issues, Singapore GP would work closely with the relevant agencies before making any collective decisions regarding the event," the Singapore Grand Prix said in a statement.

However, a decision on whether it will be safe to race will be made by FIA Race Director Charlie Whiting after consulting with drivers and teams. The Singapore Grand Prix has always been held at this time of year, and while there has been some haze in past years due to the forest fires, it has never prevented the race from going ahead.
Also, backing up the annual occurence:
"I am really fed up with this annual haze, but what can we do?" said Lian
And finally:
After touching a high of 222, the pollution index mellowed during the day to 118, classified as "unhealthy." In 2013, the same three-hour index hit a historic high of 401, way above the "hazardous" mark of 300.
With the 2013 race held held on 22 September.

Perhaps I'm putting too much stock in this, but remember Martin brundle saying Mercedes wouldn't be so strong round here when he saw them over the bumps in Hungary.

Also last year's quali was tight, even if the race less so. If someone else can get ahead, it'll be very hard to pass them.

Mclaren to make q3 for first time this season? I think so.
