I noticed that MP4-25 was raising its inside wheel in Grand Hotel hairpin. Some other cars did it too -- e.g. RedBull, but to a lesser extent.
Do you think they have very hard rebound setting?
On the contrast, Ferrari F10 seemed to always have both wheels on the ground, as well as W01. Can't remember how Renault was.

Ahhh, what a shock:

Adjustments to the regulations are necessary to clarify the procedure that cars must meet when the last lap is controlled by the Safety Car whilst also ensuring that the signaling for teams and drivers is made more clear.
Adjustments are needed to the regulations because they never said what the FIA wanted them to mean at all. Par for the course.

quite creative use of words to avoid being in danger of putting the blame in front of their own door...shame on them not to clearly take responsibility here and
redress the balance = reinstate Schumacher behind Alonso at the very least...

but then who said life was fair.

Is the Grand Hotel Loewe's? :? I remember Kubica was always jumping though. At the tight chicane after the swimming pool. So I think he'd probably be running stiffer.

What you call that corner lets everyone know who you are.

If you say Station, you watched Fangio and Moss; if you say Loews you grew up watching Prost and Senna; If you call it the Grand, then Schumacher and Alonso. If you call it the Fairmont, then you're having a laugh; If you call it turn 6 you are a race-engineer, and if you call it 'you know, the tight twisty downhill one', you are still overqualified to do main commentary for the BBC.

Very well then, I'll say "the 50kph downhill full-lock left-hander hairpin." Did that sound about right? :P

Heh)))

I always thought about it as Loews, but I was not sure how to spell it, so I looked at the track map

But that doesn't give him the right to wave his hand at Di Grassi when they've actually racing for the position. It's very arrogant to think everyone would get out of the way just because he crashed out in a faster car.

This is the only video of that moment that I found. While it is fare to defend position, I think the move of Di Grassi was not quite clear. DG moved right and Alonso started an overtaking move, then GD moved left. It was very close to have an accident had Alonso been more aggressive and put his front will inside a fraction of a second earlier.
Are you talking about the move at 0:36 seconds??
the move after the casino corner, into the hairpin?

If you have started following F1 now, then i can understand

There is a huge bump in that corner....and all the cars move right there and come to left for the hairpin...it has been the same ever since cars had small ground clearance
just search in youtube

And DiGrassi didnot do anything wrong here
He is a racer and so is Alonso...both should fight for their position
And Stop Whining like Alonso!

Driver legitimately and robustly defends his position, driver behind gets frustrated. News at 11.

Nope, it is the same place but at 3:08 and it is repeated from Alonso's car at 3:37.

I am not whining, I am just saying that perhaps Di Grassi's move was not very clear and coudl have caused accident, hence Alonso's weaving......

...

Simply look at the video, DiGrassi didnot move right or left....he just followed the RACE LINE in that straight(see how everyone goes there)

What happened was DiGrassi had a bad first corner and Alonso was just behind him....and Alonso was moving around behind him all the time...see closely again you will understand
Alonso moved left of the car and DiGrassi just didnt move over for the King...thats why he was upset
Moreover there is no place in that corner to even try an overtaking move

It was simply Alonso waving his hand at others (as usual) even if he is fighting for position

And Alonso who could have caused an accident trying to get on the inside on that curved straight

MP4/25 has a very hard suspension setup since the beginning. It jumps in all bump and kerb and the suspension works a long time after each jump.

But curiously, MP4/25 is very smooth with its tyres... (maybe because bridgestone tyres are really made of stone  )

to the optimist a glass is half full ; to the pessimist a glass is half empty ; to the F1 engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be
