nice
thanks! :)
i wouldn't call that a rib cage though, even though i know why you say so. the whole engine cover only consists of 3 pieces.

Suspension

Hi again! Here is my suspension report.
My method of suspension building is the following:
1) cut holes in the chassis (was already completed)
2) build wishbones from rolled cardboard
3) attach them with paper clips
4) use toothpics for pullrods
5) build and attach brake ducts

Here are some pics:
The wishbones:

The brake ducts:

Note the small flaps at the end of the rear brake ducts. They are pieces with a length of 2,5mm. It was a lot fun to glue them in place!

And the painted result+ the closed nosecone:

More pictures will be posted soon. Next, I'll manufacture the front wing (rear wing is already finised, report this weekend)

Cheers :)

There you go, we've reached the final post before the car's completion :)

This rather long report will be order chronologically, that's why I start with the rear wing.
Not much to say about it, but still:
Here you can see a cross-section of the wing profiles- an improvement over last time!

And that’s the finished component, fitted to the car.

The front wing
I have no photos of its production. Some words on it though- it is based on a test FW /F138, as you’ll notice/ I built some time ago (it’s not uploaded and not mounted on any car either). This time though I got it a lot neater and overall I’ve progressed significantly in that area. Check it out:

After manufacturing these parts, I completed the cockpit.

And the steering wheel:

Finally, I attached the FW to the car.
Here are some pics of the car only with its wheels and tires missing.

That’s it for now. The next post will show you the finished car, so be sure to check it out!
Cheers! :D And thanks for following this build

So, after:
-1,5 months
-about 220 pieces
-23 grams
and
-190 mm

That’s what came out. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Thank you very much for the 2600 views, for looking at my project at all and for the patience! I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Next year, I'll be back with more projects, including the 2014 Ferrari and my F1 2014 computer game, so be sure to stick around.

But for now, bye bye!
Cheers :)
