the car is as good as anyone .It won a race and given the shitty luck of schumacher this year they could well be near the top .
the current situation is you can win in a Ferrari which is not really competitive and you lose the race with a much improved one against a backmarker of last year..
If Mercedes win has to be counted towards the tyres equalizing everything or its genuine speed ...who knows?

Penalty 5 grid positions to Michael for Monaco GP. I wonder if the other drivers that have hitten him on the previous races have been penalized too.

who would think otherwise ..Warwick as the drivers stewart..perfect fit.
Senna was on old rubber trying to avoid getting into trouble by his own admission.
To me he clearly defended his position and hit the brakes early .No chance for Schu to avoid.

To be honest, I'm starting to think that Schumacher has as much chance as anyone to win given the apparent lottery that these tyres seem to be generating.

Whichever driver or team seems to luck into the window seems at least 1 second a lap faster.

My main hope is that the teams can figure out what's going on, so they can neutralize the tyre effect as much as possible. Are we really to believe that suddenly all the cars managed to reach the same level of aerodynamic prowess over one winter?

The closest team it seems to understanding the tyres seem to be Lotus, but even then you have to admit that they must have lucked into a car design that favours the tyres - since obviously they would not have had access to the tyres when designing the car.

Pretty sure it was Kristensen.

I was already pessimistic for Monaco, but I'm really keen to see how the Merc' can perform in Canada in low downforce configuration...
If it's work, then a Schumi win is possible I hope !

i hope MS will have more than 10 points by the end of this season... but with such a luck it could be always 0-1-0-1-0 :)

Forget another MercedesAMGF1 win this year. They are totally lost.

Mestrades, I see your pessimism - and perhaps you're just trying to mentally hedge the situation - I assume you're a schumi or a mercedes fan - but you have to admit that this season is starting to just look downright weird. Would you have guessed pre-season that Red Bull would basically have the same pace as Mercedes on Barcelona - a track where RB has historically dominated due to their traditional aerodynamic superiority?

Something is really amiss at the moment.

but wher did Senna brake.. Schumacher was not even applying the brakes when he moved over and Bruno applied the brakes just after the 100m sign...

Does it really matter, isn't the rules crystal clear about who's at fault if you hit someone from behind like that?

But it was indeed very unlike MS to be caught out like that, perhaps he had something else on his mind?

Come guys get a grip. These tyres are making the races a lottery. We don't know who is where, there is no real pecking order established.

The leader of each race keeps alternating, nobody is knocking on the door for P1vsP2 in every race. Everyone pipped Lotus to win this race+ Red Bull, but they didn't dominate as everyone thought.

Schumacher's crash was uncharacteristic but come on, what the hell was the strategy all about? He went back out on softs, really? The only problem with this team is the strategy, which is appalling.

Schumacher should've set a time in quali yesterday, he then can avoid racing with slower drivers and hence won't make such uncharacteristic errors.

Why the team is stopping Nico to the first pit stop sooner than Michael in every race? That always ruins Michael race.
