YDRC, he arrived at Williams in "the summer of 2003."

Either way, I've played the role of devil's advocate on this one long enough. The machines will turn however the machines will turn.

I'll accept that.

And I know exactly who that recommendation is from: Ross Brawn.

tsk - You're baiting again. It is from Yuki Matsuda from when they were both on the aero team at Prost racing.

I see that I'm only 2 connections away from Loic on Linkedin - although that is via HR people who accumulate connections like a telephone directory.

Interesting to note that on de Luca's Linkedin, he was moved from Head of Aerodynamics to the sports car team in June last year. This was in rumours last year, but was never confirmed by the team. It does seem that we currently don't have a head of aerodynamics, and Tombazis is basically having to cover 2 jobs.

That's not baiting. That's a joke.

Gerhard, I think Tombazis is effectively the Head of Aero in addition to being the Chief Designer, because Pat Fry handles the chassis, which allows the Aero/Designer roles to overlap without being overwhelming.

There's a flow chart around here somewhere from a couple of years ago when Costa was still around that shows exactly just how convoluted Ferrari's hierarchy had become. I think simplicity is probably a welcome change in Maranello.

(And easy on the "we." This place isn't noted for kindness to pronouns.)

Another earthquake just happened at Modena tonight, 5.1 on the Richter scale, let's hope it won't affect Ferrari too much ! :(

for me,
it is amazing to see Ferrari change its exhaust design back and forth. It seems that they have the time, the people, and the resources to do that. =D>

Fantastic recovery. Poor car at the start of the season, and seven race after, the second best car at one of the worst track for F2012.

Pat Fry can remove the mithril collar from around his neck now..

Nice one, n smikle

I'm really impressed how Ferrari has developed their car. Alonso has a chance of winning the race this weekend. The car is capable and I'm looking forward to the race.
