How is it a father-son relationship?

How is it not two people with mutual respect for each other's talent wanting to work together for a shared goal?
I only implied it...didn't say it was. But I have hunch we will see a Hamilton+Brawn Love-in before long.

OK I have quote from the bible. Just replace the "Christ" with Formula 1
For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers.
Really, I just mean Ross Brawn as a mentor, like a "father figure."

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

HAM does not need a "father figure", he needs a Patrick Head. Someone who will keep reminding that he is not the center of the universe. If a guy is being paid some $30 million dollars the last thing he would need is a father at workplace.

You guys are just calling HAM immature.

If he needs a Patrick Head , as you suggest, then you may just also call him immature.

One doesn't want to commit for long term as he would rather wait and see, they have somebody in hand just in case. Until they decide that the just in case was better than the one they have in hand. The saga continues..
It sounds too familiar to me, so if we dont see a competitive WO4 Brawn will be out before the season ends. The progression of this rumor is incredibly similar to what happened with Michael.

Some interesting news t the McLaren launch today as to why Lowe wasn't present. Seems like he could be making his way to Mercedes next season? Apart from the obvious Mr. Newey, is there anyone else in the paddock that you think could be lured to join Mercedes?

yes, could be the case. whitmarsh was quoted that lowe stays at mclaren in 2013. a very suspicious phrase...

Perhaps it is a "controlled gardening leave?" There have been cases in the past where former employees are on gardening leave, but then they *cough* "socialise" *cough* with their future colleagues over lunch or dinner

Exact quote:
"One certainty is that Paddy will be part of the team for another year," Whitmarsh said. "It's less certain beyond that.
"That is something that we will have some certainty on in the near future."
You'd think if he was leaving - that would be 'certainty' - although that said, publicly admitting that on launch day would be a PR nightmare. Certainly not having him there speaks volumes. If he turned up an said he can't comment on contract stuff, but is happy to talk in detail about the car, well, that would speak volumes too.

If it really is Hamilton's new helmet, it looks ugly. Is it a Schuberth? It looks like the awful Arai with the fin at the back of the helmet. And the inlets at the front don't look as if they belong to a Schuberth helmet.
Shame though that it is becoming more complex, last year's was much easier to draw from memory, thus more distinctive.

I would prefer if he switched to silver (like the Singapore one) or even white, to go with the livery and not use yellow. That is unless Nico changes, his helmet has to be one of the worst and more life-less designs ever. Shame as the one he had at the beginning of his career, which was more blue and had no yellow was a beautiful design. But having 2 drivers with the same color, even different shades is strange.

edit: It's on his twitter too, so that's the real one.

I dunno... I dig it. It's just an evolution of his previous helmet design, but it naturally had to change because of the sponsors. JLF does some awesome work on his helmets, so I look forward to the one offs for the "special" races.
