Are CNBC sponsoring Lotus now?

Jerome had a huge opportunity and completely blew it!

Why is he allowed to touch the car again?

You know right you are pretty much the only one saying that right? Everyone in the paddock was satisfied with the effort D'Ambrosio put in. And yes he came in 13th, but was consistent over the weekend, improved very well and drove a full race without any problems. He did what was expected from him.

Indeed, he didnt score any points, but that isnt that weird at all when you have pretty much 0 experience with the car.

Jerome did more than OK in Italy. He did his job very well - jumped in the car when he was needed, got used with the E20 very quick and finished the race in one piece after a consistant drive. That is what a 3rd driver should do and he did it.

I'm not convinced. JdA's "reserve" title indicates he is the first substitute/"reserve."

No. You are completely wrong.

.700 seconds from Kimi in qualy, 8th fastest lap of the race, with Kimi being 17th and on a track where the Lotus wasn't performing + KERS failure after a couple of laps.

He did more than fine and still deserves a race-seat imo.

If you look closely to last year's helmet and this year's you will notice that the scheme of the helmet is the same. Only recoloration process has ocured. What was white on 2012 helmet, now is black. What was black now is white. It's the same as the helmet that was used in 2012 winter testings, but recolored. So, only colors are changed and the number is, of course, changed from 9 to 7. I espect from Kimi to add more details on top as he did last year for the first grand prix.

Grosjean was much closer to Alonso in Monza 2009 (Fp and qualy) than Dambrosio. And he had no simulator and never raced a complete f1 season in a team like Marussia before. :-"

Kimi's race engineer is Mark Slade. Kimi also had additional racing engineer for strategy which was Simon Rennie. Now Kimi's strategy race engineer is going to be Ciaron Pilbeam. Kimi's race engineer for setups and other stuff is still Mark Slade. I think that is how it works. Kimi practically has two race engineers instead of just one. One for setups and the other one for strategy. Mark Slade once said that he talks to Kimi on fridays and saturdays and Simon on Sundays.

from F1pulse :
Webber will be participating in his seventh season with Red Bull, this time with a new race engineer after Ciaron Pilbeam left for Lotus.Simon Rennie, who was at the receiving end of Kimi Raikkonen’s criticism over the radio in Abu Dhabi last year, will replace Pilbeam.

Still wrong, Rennie maybe go to Red Bull to be race engineer to Webber, but Pilbeam didnt become new race engineer of Raikkonen. He get new role in Lotus, something like boss of engineer operations in Lotus, higher function then he got in Red Bull.
