Kyvat on the other hand is looking ordinary and may well be in danger of being replaced by Sainz or Verstappen in 2016 if he doesn't lift his game!

Indeed from now on it will be really complicated to see a competitive Ricciardo, he used 3 engines and this year Renault Sport is making an horrible job. This means that once the 4th engine is gone they have to face a penalty everytime they have to change the engine.

It is pretty impossible to finish the season and to be competitive without using more than one engine. This means Red Bull Racing Team and pilots are in big troubles. It is strange to see Renault in this situation.

They probably lost some important engineers and the situation became serious.

Hmm. The comments from Sauber are interesting tho.
We expected an improvement,” said Sauber engineer Giampaolo Dall’Ara, referring to Ferrari’s 2015 engine, “but such great progress in such a short space of time is difficult to explain.”

In fairness, historically Marko has said it how it is, albeit in pretty un-F1 beating around the bush terms.

His suggestion that Merc guys choosing to go to Ferrari over Renault is sign of a huge conspiracy can be filed in the hilarity bin alongside his statement that he 'totes doesn't care Vettel left, cos they have Ricciardo now and his dad has more hair then Vettels dad so nerrr'

If he doesnt have evidence to back this up I expect Arrivabene to put him in his place. Maurizio sounds like a boss who will not tolerate someone calling his employees (especially Ferrari engine guys) incompetent.

Or hopefully he knows what an **** Marko is and just lets him talk. Perhaps he gets bored and finds something else to do? Oh yes that would be nice. :D

Marko shall focus on something else, there is no conspiracy at all. They simply lost a wolrd champion driver while Renault is becoming worse and worse as engine provider.

A couple of days ago he was saying they are close to get an agreement o obtain extra-engines without having to pay a penalty. I am afraid he is too optimistic, they will have to pay many penalties this season.

5 events in, a huge update to the vaunted "short nose", and the sister Torro Rosso team beat them by 0.5seconds around Barcelona. With the same engine.

Renaults praise of Torro Rosso on twitter just now will be ringing in Mateschitz ears.

I'm beginning to change my mind. On a circuit like barca for RB to be 5/10s off of TR is just atrocious. If they get beat in the same manner tomorrow in the race it'll definitely mean TR is simply a better car. We'll have to wait though, because TR have been found out before in the races after being good in qually.

Its by no means over, I've yet to see any of the running times from free practice. Should Torro Rosso finish ahead of RB tommorow, I'd say the owner will be looking to accelerate any plans of a mooted sale.
