Not so much, it sounds quite ambiguous like previous statements from the team.

As I said in another forum. EB was covering his derrier with the declarations. I bet he is going to blame Honda for this showing.

calm down everybody, they are the only team to have only used the hardest tires which means there pace is very unrepresantative

they are even ahead of sauber using the ulrasofts

and they brought more softs and supersofts than most other teams to this weekend so they need to use them and gain knowledge from them in the practices

Pace on Ultrasoft isn't good either, 3rd best chassis afterall.
And how underrated is that Toro-rosso chassis?

I again started to believe that McLarens gap in chassis is bigger then Hondas gap in pu.
Let me explain, if gap to mercedes is 2 sec i think more then 1 sec is gap because of chassis.

Are you saying that Mclaren has been winning with mediocre aero all this time(until 2012), and the fact that they had the works Mercedes engine was hiding how mediocre their chassis was?

I don't think McLaren will be any better at Monaco good chassis or not. There's probably more chance of them being slower because of the relatively poor drivability of the engine. There's nothing McLaren can do until Honda give them updates. I hope Ricciardo does well so it shows that an engine upgrade can indeed make a difference even at Monaco.
F1 is dead.

Thank you
So performance wise you can argue that they haven't made any relative progress
