I'll put it in the 29's mate, all four wheels off those pesky white lines but don't tell anybody.

Some of the data collected from today’s programme will be used to aid the development of next year’s McLaren-Honda chassis.
This is very positive taking into account that he has done more than 100 laps.

He ballsed up the race thereafter though. Locked up and retired in the gravel.

As far as I know, he had a brake failure.

Stoffel Vandoorne seems just as fast as Jenson Button, maybe he needs a bit of polishing in racecraft?

Why would it be sensible to replace Button with Vandoorne?

Button and Alonso seem to work very good together, one GP Alonso is clear fastest, the other it is Button.

I am all for bringing new talent in F1, Stoffel Vandoorne has earned to be in F1.
But why replace and disrupt the good working "harmonie" ??

(just a tought)

I think now is the right time for McLaren to go with Vandoorne, Button would be learning how to drive a new car just like him under new regulation's. Plus I also feel McLaren put themselves at risk of losing him altogther if they don't take there option on him for next year. Button is a good driver no one doubt's that, does he have a world championship left in him? I feel Vandoorne is an investment in McLaren's future now and makes more long term sense. Button if he want's to stay in the sport will walk into a Williams seat!

Exactly. Button is a fantastic Driver and one of the last real Personalities in F1, but it would be utterly stupid of McLaren to lose Stoffel. He will be in F1 next Year, of that i'm sure. If they want to keep Button then the only Way would be to buy Stoffel a Seat in a smaller Team as a build up Year.

If Stoffel walks away.....
