I am not a chassis specialist but mechanical grip issues are typically observed by driver input, gear selection vs. RPM spikes per particular corners especially upon exit. And yes sudden increase in tire temp/pressure.

One of the stats I see that looks interesting on the steering wheel of the car...the time difference at each corner I think. Timing information at every entry and on every exit of a corner would be GREAT along with speed.

Sound simmilar to when 99.9% of people around F1 see that Honda is the main problem of Mclaren Honda in 2016...the other teams(Andy Cowell the other day) the drivers the jurnalist the fans even Honda themselfs only YOU for some reason are to blind to see it and are over-defensive of Honda for some reason
Excuse me, but don't insult me or accuse me of being overly defensive. I have never insulted you for many of the remarks you have made. I have made every effort to answer your PM's graciously while you have been less than polite in your demands for answers. I have never said that the PU was not the principal reason for the MP4-31's results. And you capitalize YOU as only me being blind? The people that think 99.9% of the problem was strictly attributed to the PU are the blind ones.

You are welcome very much.

By Jenson's complaints and average performance, it shows that the chassis is nowhere near top3. A good chassis produces consistent performance and confidence for both drivers. When you see disparities in performance on both cars you kinda know that the car is misbehaving.
From viewing the races, i would say mclaren chassis has some good qualities, but on a whole it isn't even top 5 chassis.

Mercedes, Redbull, Ferrari, Force India, and Williams had better chassis. Williams struggled a bit with tyres, but they did have a better car over the season. The mclaren was a problem child, it has very inconsistent performance in terms of handling as we've heard from Jenson and sometimes Alonso.

I would take Wazari's word over the journalists. Not to say he cannot have his own biases, but these journo guys cook and cut small amounts of information and make big stories. They probably hear a few quips from an engineer drunk off podium champagne, and then they write a whole technical piece based 90% on what they think and 10% on that little inaccurate lip service from the tipsy engineer.
They cut and cook enough to make a drug dealer blush.
For Sure!!

I hear Pedro Dela Rosa and other ex-formula driver in F1 channel and he say the McL have fundamental problems in the rear suspension for this reason they cant have good speed in mid to high speed corners and lost traction on the exit . Last year the F1 channel used to measure time and speed in one corner in every GP but no any more this will be great to this again next year to measure chassis and with 2014 season data

The question for me is; how dependent is the design of the chassis on the engine performance?

I'm aware of who PDR is. He raced for HRT and Jaguar. Even drove 1 race for McLaren when some driver got hurt. That sucks. Can't get that up here in Canada. Not that I speak Spanish (English, french and Italian only).

I must admit that TSN expansion to the full SKY broadcast from just the 1hr Quali and 2 hr Race is better than what we had in 2015. They're also covering the 2nd Practice session on the Friday.
The post Quali/Race coverage tends to spend more time on Brits, which has it's draw backs. If you're willing to wait, they get around to everybody. Overall it's the best I've seen. We even get Ted's notebook!

Didn't he also drive the entire 2006 season for McLaren as well??
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Only the second half of the season replacing Montoya. That´s when he got his very best result in F1, 2nd in Hungary

As a side note, he always makes some jokes about his trophy, he was unlucky enough to make his only podium when the trophy was this thing. He had to be very careful because the cover could easily fall off and he couldn´t celebrate as he´d like
