That would be hilarious, as it would also come full circle back at his first F1 team minardi
"Explain the ending to F1 in football terms"
"Hamilton was beating Verstappen 7-0, then the ref decided F%$& rules, next goal wins
while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

I think he was talking about the engine, not the torro rosso team...
Anyone knows how much money Honda will be pumping into Torro-Rosso for next year?

should be good chunk they just saved them selves 180m$ from Mclaren why don't they buy a share a percentage looks doable and achievable they have good ties with RBR.
changing the name and the drivers, any way looks they are serious about bouncing back in 2018.
"It is our goal to overcome this tough challenge and get back to fighting the frontrunners of the sport, and Honda’s spirit is to come back and next year our goal is to fight for the top three at the top of the grid."
so don't be surprised if you see STR-Honda fly away from some big names, this is just a hunch need to see the spec 4 in action for me to be common trust :D
para bellum.

Honda are pretty far behind. They won't be on-par with Ferrari/Mercedes engine power in 2018 until perhaps the end. Aim is by end 2017 to match Renault power. I'm a firm believer they will get there, especially in 2018 as there is no redesign for them over this winter, just development.

Spec 4 won't be a magic bullet, the talk is "up to 30hp" (whatever hp really means in these hybrids) which is still behind Renault. Question is.....will we see Spec 4 this year or will Honda keep McLaren away from it and just keep developing on the test rig. Gains to be had by putting in the car this year but do you want to show your secrets when you are leaving?

According to shared quotes in this forum, Honda will keep updating this season. So there is possibility of introducing spec 4 this year.
I also believe Honda can catch Renault. Hasegawa once said when they made combustion more efficient they lose too much on electric generation. What I understand from this statement is; they can do more efficient combustion but they choose to do that step by step keeping electric generation at optimum level. I believe that when they combine this two area at good efficiency they will be upper level or level of Renault. I also believe they will be close to Ferrari next year as PU output.

1,600,000,000 yen ($ 15,000,000) + free PU.
I read it a few days ago (obviously I do not know if it's true)

https://twitter.com/AlbertFabrega/statu ... 3716959233 Honda corrects its words from the press conference.

"The goal is to be the best, behind the 3 dominators of the stage, with Toro Rosso"

Summary: be the fourth best team in 2018. (it's the goal, it does not have to be true)

make sense but you can't achieve that with Kvyat and a rookie
still think there will be transfers going into STR-Honda.
