Maybe it is a bit deceiving to my eyes but it looks like the paint job has a matte finish. Not quite as matte as the Red Bull but it definitely has no glossy finish like most other teams.

Yes, it's a smart matte finish.

When will the crew change their shirts. They still have grey/orange/black gear.
The crew shirts will be changed in time for the next Race Weekend.

I wonder if BWT approached any other teams and were turned down because they didn't want to run a car that looks like a BBC commentator's shirt. Would pride ever come before money in F1?

Not that pink is inherently embarrassing, a pink livery can be done well. Just not this one. F1 is in the woods these days in terms of liveries, and I don't know why.

SFI looks better than all of those cars.

I think you lost the point, it wasnt about having a pink car. It was about having a BRAND COLOR on the car. In this case, the brand that's paying them a big fat check.

Yeah Hulkenberg is a great driver but the thing is Sergio got Podiums at Sauber too and it's not like anyone's gotten any at McLaren for a long time now. So that doesn't count. He got better there they trained him and gave him knowledge he didn't have. But I hope he can get at least one podium (they) I hope Hulk gets one at Renault and Perez with that Pink Panther that is the 2017 Force India'!
But then one should remind us that Checo drove for Mclaren back in 2013 and in that very season, not only did he got beaten by his teammate fair and square in the championship, but one guy called Nico Hulkenberg scored two more points than he did... in a Sauber!
Sergio got 2nd place at The 2012 Malaysian GP in a Sauber.

I really like the car now (team anyway), but this with the helmets in same colr as car/sponsor is a big stupidity.
Ruins the fun.
From more than one perspective.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Every championship point going to be crucial with such a pack mid field.FI performed well to score 7 points in opener.
We have to wait till China & Bahrain to determine midfield pecking order. My gut feeling is, it’s a three way battle between FI, Massa & TR for 4th position.

That's what I was thinking too Force India is going to have a hard fight but I hope Renault and McLaren dont join the fight mid season.

At a track that doesn't suite their package, they managed to get decent points + position. I'm still confident, the fight is for SFi and Williams, Renault and TR are behind them.

http://www.motorsport-total.com/f1/news ... 32718.html Good article, I haven't seen this interview anywhere else, so if it's true they were already underweight before the Australian GP and they'll get new and lighter parts for the underbody of the car in Bahrain. Sainz needs to realize that TR should be 1.5 seconds to 2.0 seconds faster in every race than SFi throughout the season to be able to beat them and also consider the fact that the SFi is also developing it's car design to go faster as they understand the package better.

Perez admits FI is slower then TR & Haas -
http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/190 ... rosso-haas

FI has already achieved 'Best of the Rest' status; they need to focus on next goal to crack top 3. It's going to be extremely difficult but they have to make required resource, structural & budget changes. There is a high chance that rules are going to be more or less same for 2018. FI can start building/experimenting for 2018 even at the expense of 2017.
With Paddy at Williams & high budget of Renault; both teams will start dominating midfield very soon.
