FI has mastered the concept – Don’t do different things, just do it differently.
They will watch & learn from big boys and come with necessary upgrades by mid-season. They have always spent their dollars wisely; better than any other team.
If Liberty adopts model of revenue equalization and cost control; FI might succeed in clinching Title someday. [-o< [-o<
I don't know why so many people assume the "speed/unit cost" scales linearly when it doesn't make logical sense that it would. There is zero evidence to suggest that if Force India had the same budget as Mercedes they'd be as successful.
To give you an example, increasing the size of the windtunnel model by 10% increases the cost exponentially, but you're missing the point of endless pockets. If a team had it, it could take more risks and not worry if they pay off or not.

Remember Mercedes also took 4 years to win the constructors after coming back into the sport in 2010 and with their budget and spending power, they couldn't turn around their fortune in one season, if you have data of any team that has done so, I'd like to hear about it.

So no updates for the Chinese GP, expect checo & Ocon loosinng 1-2 Kg of weight. Only advantage for this week will be the straight line and nothing else.

Fingures crossed.

There are a few minor updates, regarding the rear wing, but major update package will arrive in Canada, with shrunked side pods.

From the article, I noticed this sentence and have a silly question to ask "lacking pressure on the rear axle" Can the team play with the tire pressures (if it's permitted by the FIA to change the air pressure settings) to address this issue as a workaround solution for the time being?

If the rear tires are a bit under inflated, they give better grip, but at the same time; you're reducing the life of it and that's the risk they have to live with and go for a 2 stop strategy.

Actually there is a lower pressure limit set by Pirelli, and a very strict system in place by FIA to check the limit is maintained by teams.
I do think we are missing something due to the translation.

FI scored only 2 points at next three circuits (Russia, Bahrain & China) in 2016; Anything more then that will be bonus this year. I am just going by worst case scenario in case they are really slowest mildfield car :) :)

Yes, due to the translation we are missing some information, but the news was they were lacking rear end downforce, so I was just generally thinking - if they could get this mechanically or by raising the rake angle by a few more degrees to do the same.

This was due to some DNFs no? I hope they can get both cars to finish, basically repeat their season opening performance till the upgrades come. Rain is being predicted for the weekend, so it's down to the drivers, Perez and his claims will be put to the test.

Actually no, the rake angle is the reason they are lacking the general downforce levels on the rear end, increasing the rake angle will only make matters worse, they need to better exploit the diffuser area and a better rear wing.

Right, good point. Well the weather gods have turned open the weekend. Nobody has enough time for setup, so may the quickest driver shine!

Yeah :D, Force India just need to churn out results until the update arrives. Hopefully rain gods have helped them this time, [-o<

"Slowest" of the midfield and already 1 car into Q3 @ 8th while the other was unlucky to get caught at the red flag while matching his teammate in Q3. C'mon, if this is at their worst, imagine how good they'll be with their updates. Go SFi!!! =D>
