I think it was an accident. When you're concentrated on something else to your side it's easy to run into something, I've done it plenty of times with objects that right in front of me. And the referee is mature and professional, so there's no need to take time away from the match or cause drama like a player would.

Hopefully Italy can pull off a win to make this day even more special for that country after Ferrari's win in Valencia.

Deutschland and Italia meet once again eh? Sparks will fly from that one! I remember the 2006 WC semi-final and the intensity of that match. Grosso's epic shoot in the second extra time 8)

Yeah, even without Villa, they re looking invincible. But you never know, Portugal is a match for them.

Rough match but in the end Spain win in the penalty shoot out; 4-2. Fabregas on it once again!

It was a nice intense game, but once again I remain surprised about the levels of simulation in modern football - it was going to be hilarious if it wasn't pathetic.
I rarely see a nice shoulder-to-shoulder fight, good clean tackle without the swirling afterwards, and the incredible mastered faces of excruciating pain from the contact of another body.

Modern football players, if you visit f1technical.net and read this: Some of us, and I suspect we are a large number, still play football, though on amateur basis, but have played professional back in the youth days, too, so we know just how hard you can fight and where's the pain limiter. Come on, don't be actors, play the real game!

Yeah, theatrics in football are getting a bit too much, it's almost as if they re trained for that! But what a contest! The Portugese gave the Spaniards a lot to think about, both sides played well and neither could get the better of the other till the very end. And even after all the yellow cards, it was a fair fight.
But tonight is the big one! The Germans, who are in sublime form, take on the Italians, who are always unpredictable in crunch situations. Revenge for the WC2006 semi-final defeat on the cards. No Grosso this time around.

That is a match I will never forget (one of the saddest moments for me as a football fan). Fingers crossed for Germany tonight [-o<

Same here mate, I am supporting the Germans as well, they deserve a win. I had to wake up till 0300hrs last night to watch the first semi-final and had to go to work at 0900! :( But it was worth the effort, and will repeat it again for tonight's epic encounter! 8) My gut feeling, the Germans will get the better of the Italians, who do have Pirlo from the last encounter (and is in top form). However, no Gattuso, Matterazzi and co. as well. In this part of the world, the match begins at 0000hrs  Can't wait.

I don't know if it's just me, but Italy are very unpredictable. They can either play very well or be mediocre. So I don't know what to expect today but I am on their side, although I would expect for them to have gathered momentum by now.

Damn it! It even hurts more than 2006 semi-final. I hail for no team anymore :|

Morteza! Stick with your team regardless of how they do. :)

But Italy simply outgunned Germany today. Balotelli. :wtf:
