Funny you said that, I used the same quote on Facebook about 2 weeks ago

Speaking of Facebook to ANYBODY that's interested, If you have a Facebook Account could you PM me your name and location so I could find you on Facebook and add you to my "F1 Fans" list?

Thanks,
Joey Griffin

On Joey's suggestion, the Southeastern Grand Prix Club is live.

I had no idea F1T had a facebook page. I "Liked" it though. We just made our Southeastern Grand Prix Club a couple days ago and it's going great so far. I love the way this forum makes it so easy to network with other Formula 1 fans you would have never met had it not been for F1T. Our Page we made for U.S. fans (but anyone can join) is here http://www.facebook.com/SoutheasternGrandPrixClub

This will be moved into the off topic chat pretty soon, but I'll give it more time so that people know. :)

And in there you can also find a separate thread about the new American GP Club on Facebook.

Been a long time lurker and it's a funny place to make my first post but I live in NYC and I've been following the sport since '97. I too don't have anyone to talk about F1 to, which is frustrating sometimes but I also carry a sense of pride to know about the sport when others around me don't heh.

If the track does come up in NJ (overlooking the Manhattan skyline), it'll be a treat. Oh, and Hi everyone.

Well feel free to Join our Facebook Group. It's a lot of fun to get to know others that live in the U.S. It's your choice though. :D

Excellent story!

I have my best friend and my wife to talk about F1 with. I guess I might have it better than most from this area (West Texas Desert). There is a heritage to motorsport in these parts. Jim Hall and Chaparral Racing are based in my hometown and the cars are still driven to this day.

But most folks are consumed with drag racing and NASCAR. I can appreciate the sport in both, but it doesn't beat out F1 by any means. And now with the COTA and the USGP coming close, I'll probably never attend a NASCAR race.

And thanks for having this site available. The amount of data and knowledge here is overwhelming, just the way I like it.
