Checkered - They are indeed the rules we abide it's quite a nice formula but they just keep getting tighter. If any of you visit the forum there my handle is Horsfallracing.co.uk and if you type in NuVinci CVP into youtube you should find some short videos of us testing at our local supermarket. (dw I had permission.)
Carlos - The plan was originally to lower the driver below the bodywork however the rules now forbid that as the drivers head needs to be visible from either side and from the front to form more of a cockpit.
I currently have a 3" pipe running from the front of the car over the motor then out of the back. I have also included a small rear diffuser since the start of the season. I may add some water cooling as well - possibly into the airline to atomise the water and thus cool it quicker/more efficiently.
At the moment I am looking to make the car more aerofoil shape in plan veiw however this is proving rather difficult with the wheel base, track, max width and max length rules. luckily I can use a Kammback to get the rear pretty good but the front end is proving rather tough. I have 3 weeks until my last race of the season at Goodwood under the "F35" formula with the same car and I feel that at the moment we have reached the limit with this shape especially given the fact that we now have to have an average draw of around 20-23amps to survive the distance.
The plan is to just run an interim bodywork made out of corregated plastic (correx) which can be done in very little time.
Sorry to hijack the thread but I really want to go all out to make this a good car.
