dose the NSX EPSA can work by itself, no need to match CAN network of the car?

look up the functional charts on the link ,no mention of CAN interface anywhere ,the ssystem relies on simple inputs and diagnoses itself...
with a modification of input signals I could imagine the possibility to tune the unit as well..from my point of view the system looks like a stand alone but then this is all the information I have found ,it would be surely useful to check a nsx workshop manual and wiring diagrammes before deciding on a dead horse.

there is no hint that this signal needs to come from an ecu but as i said before it would be a benfit to check out the wiring layout to make sure how the signals and from where they are into the steering ecu .if it is based on a bus system you are f..d.,no question but it should be straghtforward to see this in the wiring diagrammes (if it was a bus)

from evidence in the link i provided ,I´d say this is a pure mechanical installation thing to perform .

I would also check wiring diagrammes of the Honda NSX (ebay?) if this is valid before purchasing hardware.
Or try to find a NSX specialist .He should know.
