Ha, I just put a nice turbo system into an S2000 for one of my customers... nice pocket rocket... next I have to convince him to put a better suspension system so it can corner better.

^^ That's a nice way of putting it, it's more like extra $$$ for you and a lighter wallet for him.

Hey! I have real concern for my customers... I would hate for him to wrap it around a pole because of all the extra power I put in that car without any handling or braking upgrades.

All anyone comes to shop asks about is more power... it is hard trying to convince people that they need to upgrade or even maintain those things.

If I have to relieve my customers of some cold hard cash so that they can be safer than so be it.

Well I have the AP-1 S2000 the 2.0 litre 9250rpm red line
The AP-2 replaced it 2003-4 and had the 2.2 litre with 5lb more torque and a lower red line 0f 8850. Honda also softened the suspension in response to many tail happy moments in the AP-1, this made it a bit more user friendly. The brakes a jaw droppingly good, the were unchanged in the 10 years the car was in production.

If I were to put a turbo, I think I would just look at stiffer front springs. Alot of my S2000 club mates think if you go this route, larger rear tyres will help keep the cars backside in check.
Me? I just love this cars old school nature. 1200kgs, 255 bhp and it will bite you if you get it wrong

After 2 street tuning sessions I estimate that were already well over 400bhp, but it is leaning out a little too much near redline so I might have to go over the fuel system again... sometimes you have to choose between rough idle and top end power... but I have tricks to get around those issues.

Honestly after driving the car I still prefer my RX-7, but his suspension is bone stock where as mine is dialed in.

Have a little stroll in either of these two beauties to change your mind about the RX-7. While I havent driven them, I have seen enough "touge battles" to say these 2.3 "F23C" S2000 can hold their own against Scoobys and RX-7's.
Yes a Supra and a GTR would decimate it but c'mon, its a 2.3 litre 4cyl

I beat Supras regularly in my 1.3L RX-7... S2000's have never been a match for RX-7s in straight line or in handling... but S2000's are cool for what they are.

Rotaries are great with a character of their own and an RX-7 is a lovely car. A classic I would say. Be interesting to see a V-tec vs Rotary comparison.

Edit
Picked up my Yamaha R6 for the summer! God damn...
