MB engine bhp consistency

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

1) "The FIA inspects all engines" What does this mean exactly? Do we have any in info on when and where the FIA has inspected any engines?

I doubt any race engine could be inspected before the team has decided that it wants to rebuild it.

2) Engine variations: The engine manufactures have been in business for a long time. They have very good statistical data on what output variations they are going to see. The teams are told what to expect for the year. The teams can verify output numbers on their own to verify the builders data. This is a business arrangement with negotiated requirements.

3) I would expect any engine that is out of the statistic norm to be torn down and examined to see what is different with the particular engine.

The fact that Mercedes (or any other engine manufacturer) on purpose gives their customers the worst engines they have or the "fact" that the horsepower between these engines can differ up to around 50hp+-

This was all started by the guy above you who ironically enough got his posts removed from the first page..

So far, there has not been one link that supports anything of what he has said.
No facts at all because it´s simply not true.

No one stated a 50HP difference as 'fact' anywhere. Given that it's already been discussed as to how engine differences are possible through statistical variances (and known through degradation) I'm afraid you're going to need an awful lot more than "It's simply not true".

However, I remember having been here before in a past life.................

Actually there was a person who did. This thread was created solely based on his words.

And no, there are no facts that say that either one of the above arguments has any truth in it.

Prove it.
