How is the front/rear bias adjusted? It would appear to me that it would be most easily adjusted through a signal to the "ERS-K" as noted in this simulation. In other words, nothing but an electronic input for the "brake by wire" system.

If this is the case, wouldn't it be simpler to use a single master cylinder?

No, the ERS-K harvesting rate and the brake balance are independent controls.

Hamilton is thought to have switched to CI material for the German Grand Prix race itself, as Mercedes deemed the Brembo failure ‘unacceptable’ and indeed it is the second such failure for the team and reportedly the ninth in 2014 for Brembo in F1.
