Yes, you're right! They used the old wing yesterday, too.
I don't know why, but i think to compare data between them. I don't think they will use the 2011 wing this year.

nico did a good amount of laps. another 300 odd kms under the belt. seems without many issues, which is good. another 40-50 this afternoon wont hurt either

Why would they benchmark the frontwings? The exhaust position is not definitive yet, IMHO. Could it be possible that at the moment the old FW gives better balance than the new one, considering they have less rear DF now than they expect later on?

Have we established what the three intakes above the drivers head are? I'm assuming that the hoop a little ways back is for the gearbox, and the main intake is for the engine. What is the intake almost *behind* the driver's head, beneath the main intake for? KERS cooling? Rear diffuser F-duct? ;)

What is he hole in the middle of the rear of the car (above the diffuser & LED)?

You are right about that. That part low near the floor is probably from exhoust pipes inside the sidepod... Since there is wery litle space in there (smallest and sleekest sidepods of theis years F1 cars) thos pipes could be wery close to the sidepod "wall" and therefor overheating them and burning paint. I thing we should not be worried about that as someone mentioned in posts before - there is stil no gills. If there are overheating problems they would have using them alrady.

I was talking about the burns on top of the sidepods behind the exhoust pipe.

From all the pictures of todays, MERC is running on white tyers. Last stint Nico made was of 19 laps. First lap in low 1.24. Cold this be made with larger amount of fuel? And if it was, this is not bad, isn't it?

This stint was on soft by autosport live.
He started in 1.24 did five laps in 1.25, two in 1.26 (two 1.28),two in 1.27, five in 1.28 and last in 1.29,1. Good, bad or average?


And most laps of all today - at the moment - 73
