The diffuser seem that inelegant without the gurney ...
Extremly fat  Think it's a performance "ruiner" and we'll see a lighter diffuser in Melbourne

It's still a gurney isn't it? Just not a slotted one like the RBR, Ferarri and MCL?

The W02 was slotted at the end of the season. They may go that route at some point.

Why Mercedes has been hidding the front wing?

Maybe just to draw the attention to the front wing, which has nothing changed or special, so nobody searches for something going on any other section of the car, where they might have something really important.

Being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, competing to win...

The teams are mandated to have open garages at races, but anything goes in pre-season testing so they are allowed to hide the cars and close the garage doors.

I sometimes think the vent a years worth of covering up in these few tests. The silly thing is that modern photography shows us more than enough detail before the covers get to the car. Old habits die hard.

Welcome to the Forum! I have not yet had the pleasure of owning an AMG, but as they continue the SLS, that day will come 8) .

The article has been mentioned before in this thread and it can very well be a smokescreen for the other teams to get lost in.

I'm more curious as to the source of these rumors and the proposed location and design of the passive f-duct, as there are regulations preventing its incarnation as we all know it (slot in rear wing, siphoning high energy air to it to stall said rear wing) and the benefits of a front wing f-duct (aka W-duct) have been stated as to disrupt car balance and be of dubious value, were it legal to begin with:

http://scarbsf1.wordpress.com/2011/10/21/mercedes-f-duct-front-wing/

I have theorized a passive f-duct system could be in the rear-wing endplates (which can be made somewhat hollow, since Mercedes uses the endplates to house the DRS mechanisms). However, as with the front-wing f-duct, how air blowing from the endplates could be of any benefit is a stretch.

Why Mercedes dont have a rim sponsor? RB has O.Z , McLaren ENKEI , Ferrari OZ same Lotus.

Did you read the article? They make an educated guess that They began making performance tweaks with Nico's runs.
