But if it was RBR 1-4 and Ferrari 2-3, then it would be RBR 37 vs Ferrari 33. Does that mean "as a team", are we saying 1-4 finish is better than 2-3 ? Getting a win is better than putting both drivers on the podium?
Some light here please?
Maximum point scoring is the main goal, not just a podiums. You're missing out on that by getting the 2-3.
And no one remembers that double non-victory podium.
Well, probably a 1-4 vs 2-3 might sound close. How about 1-5 vs 2-3 (Gives you 35 vs 33)... Or even 1-6 vs 2-3 (Makes even at 33 !! ).... Does that make a team where one driver finishes 5th or 6th better than other team where they made 2-3 ? Just because one driver wins means the team is better?
I understand that at the end of the day, a win sounds cool and better but when speaking of CC, as a team, should not a 2-3 be a better performance...? Its like saying one of my drivers might be significantly less competitive and I can still expect a CC just with performances from my other best driver?
I'm trying to understand here...
Edit: The 2010 system of 25-20-15-10-8-6-5-3-2-1 sounds to make justice to "team effort" a bit better than current system. JMHO. Or if we're trying to value a win more, something like 25-20-17-14-11-9-7-4-2-1 system could do.... Any comments?
Finishing second is being the first one of losers....
