You guys should know the Mclaren style hair cut by now; almost a clean military shave kind of look.

What are the origins of it at Mclaren? I don't think Lauda, Prost or Senna had a clean cut. :D

Early 2010 I think he had to get the mandatory inauguration? cut...he went back to his scraggly ways there after.

Wasn't it only under Ron Dennis that everyone had to be clean shaven?

I have heard McLaren is quite strict with your appearance.
If you show up with jeans you won't even pass the entrance gate.

It seems the only example of hairstyle changing on signing for McLaren is Alonso. Are there any other examples for the haircut hypothesis?

He had short hair at Sauber, identical to his McLaren haircut.

You have to realize Ron is the guy that won't allow any one in the McLaren pits to eat any fruit using their hands.
Was it Alonso he flipped out about because he ate an apple? So demanding a clean cut haircut is just to be expected.
Seems F1 is rife with anal types..Bernie you know, When he had his motorcycle biz he had to have all the handlebars tilted the exact same and got mad if a customer messed it up.
There is also the story of when he ran Brabham and the guy installed a wall phone in the garage which was slightly off square so he promptly pulled it off the wall and smashed it on the floor...Then snarled" Get that thing put up properly or I'll close the whole place down. He reportedly added..."And don't think I won't because you are not dealing with a rational man!"
And we all know how anal Max was about things.
There are two things in this world that take no skill: 1. Spending other people’s money and 2. Dismissing an idea.

Why can't you eat fruit with your hands ? You can just wash your hands afterwards.

I saw what you did there.
