Lotus E21 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

E21 bottoming out. Again, the same as E20 was doing during most of the year.

Thx for the HR pics.
Question is: Are those just cooling outlets (the rounded ones in front of the monkey seat) or are they connected to the sidepod under-exhaust tunnels like RedBull ?

Why they put temperature sensors on the rear winf main plate?

That's a whole lot of camber gain built into the rear.

Mostly, the aim is to have as lower as possible plank to get better aero performances in corners but without bottoming out because that reduces the top speed due to increased friction. Lotus is using either to low ride height or to soft springs.

Well it seems the transition to ramp exhaust isn´t giving them much trouble, so far. I was a bit worried with that...
