So the real question here is: is going Bob Bell to Ferrari?
While it's all in the rumor domain, let's assume that Alonso is with one foot at Mclaren, according to Eddie Jordan. The new boss, Marco, said his first priority is to retain Alonso. The latter has worked with Bell at the 2005-06 period, and it is therefore easy to glue the pieces. But that's pure speculation and it is based only on different people's opinions, no matter how knowledgeable they are.
So, "we will have to wait and see".

An answer to your questions:

"Bell instead of Prodromou to McLaren?
And that seems to be the case with Mercedes now. Is all the more interesting course, the successful Mercedes-staff for other teams. So Bell is already in contact with McLaren - possibly intended as substitutes for aerodynamicist Peter Prodromou, who would actually come from Red Bull? Because radio paddock According sets Red Bull despite the already signed McLaren contract everything to keep Prodromou yet."

And proper PU upgrade (whether if it's engine control software, ICE/MGU-K/MGU-H/ES integration, or something else) will be more beneficial than s(light) aero iterations.

Because FIAT straightline performances are apsolutely unsatisfactory, and I don't believe that it can be fixed (just) with aero tweaks.
Aero and PU development are handled by different groups within the team right? If so, there would be no such thing as focusing on a single area since development will happen in parallel.

Could also be that they are using a totally different wind tunnel which fixed most of their correlation (a horrible word to use to describe the actual problems) problems. But hey, what do I know.

Leo Turrini (a well-known Italian reporter with good connection within Maranello) reported this in his blog:

Its been a speculation for some time that Brawn could be on his way back to Maranello and the new man only for stand in. Nothing that Brawn has said in his interview is a denial of a potential return. One thing is for sure. He will only come back as team principal and no lesser role. After running his own team and being team principal at Merc nothing could be appetizing for him but the top spot. Montezemolo must know for at least one year that Domenicali was untenable. So the rapid departure of Brawn at Merc may have been all part of a long hatching plan.

It could be that Marco Mattiacci will do the commercial-side and Brawn perhaps executive-director?
