The point I was making about requiring less cooling isn't only about efficiency. Remember if you have ERS in the gearbox away from the hotter engine block and headers then there is simply less cooling required to keep it within operating temps

Friday comparision: Alo with more downforce, Kimi less (new rear wing, new rear endplates, cuttered flap to the front wing)

in FP3 Alonso use low down-force wings , KimI use high down-force wings .

This is the only difference between Alo and Rai cars (photo of Kimi's wing is not of Spa but he has this wing):

in the article posted on this site, ferrari said they had some problems with there oil pressure and there kers, and that is why alonso did not end on the podium. off course there 5 sec penalty did not help. did we see any of these problems under the race? i could be a bad excuse for there car maybe did not had that pace they thought. :wtf:

I also heard somewhere that they have problems with ERS and starting the engine. Do they use the electric motor nowadays to start the engine? (Should have enough power to start imo).

There where also rumours that due to the rain on Saturday Ferrari was running the more downforce setup, which could partly explain the lack of speed on the straight after Eau Rouge.
