Yes I posted yesterday about the two new slot gaps on the RWEP's. The strakes however are not new.

Another piece of interest is the top part of the wing. I'm presuming the DRS part of the wing size is unchanged. That would mean that the actual rear wing plates are farther apart? You can see the top of the wing in Japan wrapper around the DRS movable flap of the wing. While in Austin the there is a rather large indented that the flap would have to clear?

Pat Fry has confirmed below is a revised rear suspension to most likely be used next year. Kimi will use the new suspension today in Austin.

Teams often make suspension changes. It doesn't mean they found a "mistake".

“I've got to be careful what I say, but possibly to probably Juan would have had a bigger go”

I agree however the Original article from Piola and OmniCorse states that after reviewing all of the data; track, wind tunnel & simulation, Rory Byrne found an anomaly in the rear suspension. Byrne found "a mechanical problem with the rear suspension that accentuates a loss of traction out of corners"

Whatever it was doesn't seem to change their relative performance much. I gather we take all such rumours with a big pinch of salt.

The new suspension was only used by Kimi, and he hasn't exactly had great pace this year. He's typically been about 0.5-0.6s off ALO in Quali so perhaps him only being roughly 0.2s off in Austin could be attributed to the new suspension. I'm not sure what about what was written above falls into the "rumor" category you mentioned. Nothing that was posted was "rumor".
