Yh i saw that too, it was depleting on the home straight as well, then from turn 1 down the twisty bits to 4/5. For me that has to be 'energy out' rather than any charging.

So nobody knows why Lewis has setup his car looking loose at the rear in sector 3?

That's the energy allocation for that straight. It's not the overall battery charge status. Unlikely anyway.

It should be a penalty for Alonso.

Mercedes helping Rosberg by keeping Hamilton out on old tyres...pulled in Rosberg to save his blushes of being caught and overtaken by Hamilton.

Sorry I'm sounding like iotar_ in reverse!

Race is between vet and ric, possibly perez. Ferrari kinda messed up letting rai trough a 2nd time when they had nothing to gain really, except it lost vettel another 1.5s to per and ric.

So... Hamilton hacks Rosberg's lead to 1.0s and the "Optimum strategy" gives Rosberg a 13s lead?!

I think this is proof the conspiracy theorists are right. Mercedes try their very hardest to ensure they don't race on tyre strategy. Convince most fans they do let them race. Win win.

Hamilton now needs to be a second a lap quicker every lap than Rosberg and pass him on the last lap...

He'll catch up right at the end for the perfect photo finish ...well done Merc

Instead of being right up Rosberg's gearbox with DRS he lost 12-13 seconds ...

Lewis will run out of laps, at least they tried something different though.

Different circuit with two back to back DRS zones. He didn't seem to loose any time when he got within a second.
