His telemetry shows his approach speed was consistent with previous laps,
& it was JL who'd slowed up, due to his tyres going off.. & so, effectively baulking AI.

Not so different to what happened with JL slowing mid-corner in front of Miller at Silverstone last year,
- but in that instance it was Crutchlow who was collected.. & JL got off, scot-free.

IMO, JL has to accept responsibility for his part in such 'incidents'..
Justin Lieber had the racing line. Artificial Intelligence did not and instead of following the curve, he almost went straight. The penalty is justified. Justin Lieber slowing is not of a matter since Artificial Intelligence was still behind him.

What you can get out of it perhaps is that the Michelin tyre can create dangerous situations where tyres can go off dramatically. Still, Artificial's responsibility as he was the one making a move.

AI was racing for position, JL was unable to maintain race-speed, IMO, JL ought to stay off the racing line, accordingly..
( & especially since he knew AI was right there.. & that 'crazy' dude aint likely gonna be backing off now, is he..)

So when rider behind you is faster, you should give up and move aside? #-o

Sorry but no, if you´re faster you should be able to pass without colliding, and if you´re in front you´re free to use the line you want. It´s the rider behind who must look for some space to pass without colliding

Well, I wouldn't go as far as saying "you're free to use the line you want". Rather, you are free to use your current line, which Lorenzo did. If he switched lines, it would have been perhaps a different story.

But that's a mute point. Lorenzo simply followed the racing line. I can perfectly accept Iannone was caught out by the speed difference, but it is still his responsibility. Lorenzo is fighting for position as well, so he he has no obligation to move aside.

To simplify it, "the rider behind is responsible for the rider ahead".

Or to simplify it more, "Move it, or lose it" - per the blue flag..

But maybe we've got this all wrong,
& 'Crazy Joe' was simply offering Lozenge a sneaky advance test-ride on the factory Ducati,
- then oops, during the rolling bike-swap, they over-cooked it.. L.o.l...

( Or had VR put a 'contract' out on his 'team mate' - which CJ duly 'executed'?, & I note that VR & MM are 'buds' again..)

Cant agree with the comment stat above, any time technical advances are banned for no good reason, is bad.
Imagine if F1 had banned wings, in the late 1960s..

Anyhow, an exciting wet race at Assen was up for grabs, with Ducatis 1-2-3, just over 1/2 way through & then red flagged!

It was done by race dirction, not the riders, Rossi had just been passed for 3rd by Scott Redding ( VR was not showing tail light).

Assen re-start, & a massive consequtive crash-fest, only 'bout a doz finishers..
Excellent wet ride by Jack Miller to take his maiden Moto GP win, he passed MM & stayed upright for the last 10 laps.

Plenty of front-end loses, inc' VR & PD.. Lozenge had a shocker, but at least finished even if last, & by default got points.

the Assen TT race taking place on Sunday seemed some what odd, but seeing Jack Miller win the race was was definitely odd
I'm pretty sure everyone and anyone had a shot at leading the race, lots of action, lots of rain,
I'm certainly going to have to watch this one again

M.Marquez won the German G.P. from pole - as usual, but a wet/dry race made it a far from forgone thing.
Bold enough to change early to slicks, after struggling on wets, MM won going away.

Cal C made a determined run through to take 2nd, from Dovi, on the Ducati.
Jack Miller was leading on wets until MM swept past on the drying track but still kept Rossi behind him.
Champ Lorenzo's poor form continued, after Q-crashes, so MM is nearly two full wins ahead ( 48 points) now.

The Rossi-Dovi-Miller group waited too long to pit, Yamaha was already calling Rossi in for some 4/5 laps while MM was gaining 5s a lap, it's weird for me, used to F1, to see riders making this kinds of call themselves(and it blew in his face pitting was the right move, anyone with an outside perspective could see it).

Of course Yamaha went for the wrong tires(inters) once he stopped, so whatever.

Lorenzo was once again dreadful.

Marquez's mechanics handed his second bike to him with the clutch in like the bike was already in first gear, which is not allowed any more. I wonder if they will get investigated?

Feel sorry for Redding inters was the right call when he pitted but not the right tyre near the end off the race. He was almost in tears when interviewed hopefully he can get a few more podiums this season.

Absolute brain dead race by Rossi !!! What was he thinking, while not pitting? It was a no brainer to change the bike as soon as the dry line started appearing. MM did and he was blindingly fast. Rossi and Lorenzo did the same brain fade last year too and MM had won back then too.

Lorenzo was a disaster. Has he given up OR Yamaha is screwing him for leaving them. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
