Force India VJM09 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Finally, FI scored at Hungary. Car seems to be performing at medium-slow corners; traditionally not a strong suit of VJM series.

I disagree. Force India had always been good at traction, braking and general agility. Always better than Williams anyway. In 2014 Button said their braking is one of the best on the grid probably still is.

Really?? Button had said such?? Good to hear that. Now FI's main challenge is long high speed corners.
But in Hungary JB had been saying that McLaren was one of the best in hard braking. And that's where they gain a bit after long straights.

Agree, FI has always been good on street circuit. This years both the podium are results of their braking and traction performance. VJM series has always been good mechanical grip, they always make very balanced car, little bias towards straight line speed.

Amazing race by both the driver and team, well done. Ferrari should consider leaving the sports so that the easily earned 70 million pounds can be used by some proper and well deserved team. 103 points in constructors and 4th constructors position.
