It should be pretty obvious that the requirements of a pure media lap and a normal racing lap are very different.

People say the onboard sound is filtered so you can't hear the wind etc but the mic is actually placed near the radiators inside the engine covers

I was dreaming about a visor cam in Formula 1 but the halo came, I was dreaming about the Indy 360° cam in Formula 1 but the 360° golf ball came :'D

is it me or does this look a lot more ballsy stuff than your average F1 lap?
i mean, i felt a sense of 'danger' from this video, the cockpit doesn't look as 'safe' etc. as the general feel i get from f1 onboards. now it must be said this is a total different onboard than we see in f1, but is it just that or is this racing class much more dangerous than F1? :wtf:
"Explain the ending to F1 in football terms"
"Hamilton was beating Verstappen 7-0, then the ref decided F%$& rules, next goal wins
while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

Indy cars are actually very safe, maybe not as F1 is but very safe. This year they are going to test and develop the aeroscreen solution, that's one of the reasons for the new chassis introduction in 2018.
I'm quite sure if you put one of these visor cam on a Formula One you will feel the sense of danger too.

3 things i see in that video are.

1. Sound is nice,
2. Glad F1 don't go to Sonoma
3. No amount of front wing will solve that low speed understeer lol

Indy Cars never sounded better than F1, until 2014 came along

IndyCars seem to me like they're set up much stiffer and so they bounce over bumps, makes them look more alive
