Look at RB's other racing series and it points to Honda. GRC and Superbike both use Honda products...
And Super Formula with Pierre Gasly

To be fair the only other engine in that forumla is Toyota. They have racing ties to Nissan as well do they not. Could be a way to almost stay with Renault if they give Nissan the base and research and Nissan make their own from that

"We have a relationship with a car firm"

So it's gonna be renault. Why change 2 years before the engine regulations change?

Red Bull also have/had some ties with the VAG in WRC (VW Polo), DTM (Audi) and Dakar (VW Touareg).

Horner didn't allude that AM were gonna be entering the sport soon, he just said an announcement. I would probably wager that AM will announce that they're going to enter the sport in 2021, or 2020 if the FIA, FOM, etc. decide to change the regs for that year.

I wonder if we'll get a new livery next year then??
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

What seems to have been missed is the fact that Mateschitz has stated that he will be out of F1 within 3 years. Team is to be sold so there will be no RED BULL or STR team past 2020, irrespective of who their engine supplier could be.
Who will buy? Possibly even Aston Martin ????

Rumor is that for R.B.: Christian Horner will take control of the team (Adrian Newey will be shareholder too).
The model will be: Ross Brawn takeover of Honda team.

Engine supplier, from 2021, could be: Honda, Porsche, Austin Martin.

perhaps a large car company would look to enter at the top of the sport instead of rolling around the bottom

back in 09 merecdes purchased brawn f1 for 110m for 75%
https://web.archive.org/web/20091119213 ... y-out.html

that was a few years ago and i dare say red bull has more to offer in staff and facilities than brawn did.

would be very interesting to know how much money they spent in total before they won a race in 2012 and before they were winning often in 2014. i supect the money may be higher than the valuation of red bull

Does F1 need more manufacturers?
There are only ten teams, who will they supply to support engine development?
Mercedes, Ferrari, Renault all have three customers each, Honda probably buy Toro Rosso to stay in F1.
Mercedes and Renault are opposing changes to current engine formula regarding ban on MGU-H. If this happen new manufacturer will suffer same fate as Honda.
Whoever's buying redbull to compete in F1 must be suicidal.

we already got used to RBR brain farts empty threats.
i think as soon as Honda will be competitive , all the manufacturers will push for the current regulation to stay intact till 2025 perhaps with more MJ than 4 per lap , the thing is this technology is amazing and the manufacturers still want to invest and research in its deep ocean of energy and power graces.
it takes a huge corporations to contribute in such regulations i doubt they will accept to go back to base engines or budget simple engines if F1 a top notch sport they shall seek the top notch technology always.
para bellum.
