Well I'm surprised by this news! You'd of thought Force India would be better suited to carry Tata brand?

"For the first time an Indian brand will appear on the Ferrari," president Luca di Montezemolo told Italian media. "It's historic."

I'm not surprised. Tata had long standing corporate links with FIAT and Ferrari have been on their list for a while.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

During the Internet dot-com days I worked for a small Indian company that negotiated a merger with Tata. They are an enormous, multi-faceted money machine. Very focused, very driven, very nasty to deal with. But then Machiavelli WAS an Italian, right!?

Good for Ferrari!

So, TATA is one of those multi-stream corporations that dig their own irrigation trenches? Believe it or not, Radio Shack Corporate in the USA is very similar. I hated their methodology, but I cannot for a moment discredit them on the training side... They sent me all over the country for various training sessions, and all store managers become Practitioner level NLP guru's... And most don't even know that is what those classes teach!

Don't know much about Radio Shack - even though I live in the US #-o .

Tata is in everything from cars to coffee, steel to hotels. Check out www.Tata.com. Scary.

Besides large amounts of money, Tata can offer expertise in high tech of all sorts, software, IT consulting, networking, etc.
