After the Singapore Grand Prix, Toyota lodged a protest against Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Sebastian Vettel for an unsafe release from the pits. Vettel finished the race behind Toyota's Timo Glock and so Toyota would gain no points from a possible punishment of the young German, but it would increase the gap between the two teams in the standings.
