Organiser Belgian GP satisfied with August date

The organisers of the Belgian Grand Prix are very satisfied with the new date for the race on the 2009 Formula One calendar. Today it was announced by the FIA that the race at Spa-Francorchamps will be held on Sunday 30 August.

André Maes, Director of Spa Grand Prix, said: "To program the Belgian Grand Prix in the final weekend of August was one of the questions we formulated at Bernie Ecclestone. He already said in July that it would be possible and we received confirmation on Tuesday.
