Brawn knew about advantage and kept quiet - Briatore

As an outspoken critic of the Brawn, Williams, and Toyota diffusers, Flavio Briatore has criticsed Ross Brawn for going against the spirit of the rules, especially since he is the technical representative for FOTA.

"He knew he had an advantage and he didn't say it. It is a situation that is not in the spirit of the rules," said Renault boss Briatore at a press event for the Italian media.

Adding that his best interests are for the team and sport, "When Montezemolo asks me to a meeting I represent FOTA, not my team."

The FIA stewards ruled that the three team's diffusers were within the regulations, after Renault among other teams filed a protest. An appeal will be heard after the Malaysian GP.
