Alonso worried about F1 career

Double World Champion and Renault F1 Team driver Fernando Alonso admitted in the Monaco paddock that he is worried over his Formula One career as several teams threaten to leave the sport over the proposed budget cap for next season. The deadline for the teams to enter next season is Friday 29 May.

Alonso said to the press in the Monte-Carlo paddock: "It is very worrying. I have tried to switch off and concentrate on this business, but it is true that last week - when I was at home - it was impossible to switch off because I don't know if this will be my last time in Monaco; if the big teams and the big manufacturers leave F1 then I don't want to race with small teams because it would not be F1 anymore and there are many other categories."
