Epsilon Esukadi hoping to fill empy slot left by BMW

Despite being left out by the FIA when the governing body chose from multiple entry form submissions, the Epsilon Euskadi racing group is still prepared and willing to join the Formula One series should the BMW Sauber team not find a buyer when this season ends. Team boss Joan Villadelprat admits they are still working on the F1 project and are ready to continue with it.

Speaking to 'Autosport' Villadelprat said, "We are still working on the project, at a much slower rate obviously because we don't have the security to be on the grid."

While also being surprised by BMW's sudden decision when all seemed to go well, "I'm surprised because they have done a lot of work, on the Concorde Agreement, and being members of FOTA... But it's the always same with big manufacturers, and in the end it's other people making the decisions, and that's what Max Mosley feared and what he was saying."
