Emergency meeting for Renault

It is believed that Renault has staged an emergency meeting in Paris on Wednesday regarding the future of its Formula One Team. The meeting was scheduled straight after the announcement of Toyota that it will quit F1 after 2009.

Renault has several options: to stay in F1, to stay only as engine supplier or to leave the sport completely.

If Renault would decided to pull out of the sport, it would be the fourth manufacturer to leave F1 in one year time after Honda, BMW and Toyota.
