Red Bull doubting Renault's long term commitment

With Renault's transfer of shares to Genii Capital a few months ago, Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz has expressed worries about the French outfit's long term commitment in Formula One and their supply of engines. RBR has been using the RS27 since the 2007 season, and has benefited from the powerplants upgrades meant to equalize performance with the other engines.

"I doubt it, because I suspect Renault does not intend to be in formula one for so long. That Renault does not have a long-term connection is for us a little bit of an uncertainty," Mateschitz responded to Austria's 'Salzburger Nachrichten' newspaper when they asked if his Red Bull team would be a part of Renault's works team.
