Nick Heidfeld takes over as GPDA Chairman

Mercedes reserve driver, Nick Heidfeld, has taken over from Pedro de la Rosa as the chairman for the Grand Prix Drivers Association after being elected for such position on Friday afternoon. De la Rosa has preferred to concede his role as chairman in order to direct his focus on being a full time race driver for the BMW Sauber team.
