Force India's third driver, Nico Hülkenberg, has split with his manager Wili Weber. In a short statement issued on his website, the youngster announced that he will now be looking after his own affairs in F1 with backing from a former PR man.

The statement on the website of Hülkenberg said: "The 23-year-old Formula 1 driver from now on takes management matters in his own hand. Both sides are currently working on a smooth changeover and on a satisfying solution for everyone. Hulkenberg will from now on be supported in executing his management issues by his former PR advisor Timo Gans."

Last season, Hülkenberg had a race seat with the Williams F1 Team and the young German is hoping to return to the F1 grid as soon as possible.
